Destin Restaurant Reviews Matter
It’s been a little over a year since we decided to make some changes at Fudpucker’s in Destin. The restaurant was getting hit with some pretty negative restaurant reviews and Father Fud (aka restaurant owner Chester Kroeger), in his quest to make Fudpucker’s the best restaurant in Destin, demanded that we make changes. Our customer reviews on sites like TripAdvisor, Yelp, and Google brought to light some issues that we may not have been aware of otherwise. And where most restaurants would try to bury those negative reviews, Father Fud decided to use them as constructive criticism and make some changes at Fudpucker’s.

Changes at Fudpucker’s
This started with a complete overhaul of our menu, where over 3 pages of items were eliminated to bring the focus to only those dishes that we are the most proud of and that are the most unique to Fudpucker’s. Comments like “overpriced” were met with a strict competitive analysis of our prices compared to all the other restaurants in Destin, and adjustments were made. Now, when you dine at Fudpucker’s, you will notice that our prices offer the same or better value than any other full service restaurant in Destin-and they don’t even have a free alligator attraction! Finally, service complaints were met with new training guidelines, and even new staff in some cases.
How Did We Do?
We are proud to say that our Destin restaurants reviews have skyrocketed in response to these changes. On TripAdvisor alone, Fudpucker’s has risen from #127 to #36! While we know we may still not be perfect, and that we have a long way to go to be #1, we will continue our quest to be the best restaurant in Destin. “The staff was friendly and the food was great! We got the cheese curds appetizer which was AWESOME; like mini mozzarella sticks. We also split the chicken, shrimp, and gator platter. All was great! No complaints. Loved the sauces that came with everything. And the gators were a bonus!”
