FUDPUCKER'S ROCKS!

Fudpucker’s is many things to many people: To some, it’s an inviting place to enjoy the best Fried Shrimp in town. To others, it’s the place to delight in a frosty beverage after a hot day in the Florida sunshine. But to locals, Fudpucker’s has always been known as a premiere live music venue.

During the fall and winter of 2005 Fudpucker’s spent a great deal of time renovating the downstairs bar. “The Art Bar,” as it is now known, is an updated and inviting space designed to appeal to all artsy-types. It serves as a place to exhibit their work as well as fellowship in a funky, eclectic atmosphere. Fud’s has hosted several events in “The Art Bar,” including art openings, CD Release Parties, and an Open Jam night. Be sure to check out this awesome new addition to Fudpucker Nightlife.

The stage at Fudpucker’s in Destin’s “Club Key West” has hosted many talented musicians, local rock sensation Black Eyed Blonde has entertained here for 7 years as the House Band. “I think they keep us around because of my snappy good looks,” says bass player Dan Collins. “Actually,” replies operating manager Mike Frey, “we keep them around because they work for peanuts!”

Black Eyed Blonde plays a liberal mix of rock and new wave cover songs: From Tom Petty and The Police to Sublime and The Cure. Catch the group voted “Best Local Band” by readers of Cheers Magazine every Thursday, Friday and Saturday Night at 10pm at Fudpucker’s in Destin.
